Based in Bellmore, NY on Long Island, Skylark NetWorks equally provides web site and computer support for small businesses, non-profits, and families.

The company's primary business is in web support providing domain name registration and management services, web site hosting, email services, and online file storage.

Next they provide computer technical support services, both for the home and office. Technical services include new computer purchases and upgrades; system maintenance; software and hardware installations; plus office, home, and entertainment network setup and troubleshooting.

Last, but not least, they provide educational services with corporate training programs on office applications, and home or private tutoring on a wide range of popular software programs for the home.

In recent years, Skylark NetWorks has expanded into the realms of Internet marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising (Google AdWords and AdSense), and e-commerce solutions.

Proprietor: Robert Saunders

I started Skylark NetWorks in 1992 in order to provide freelance technical support, Excel spreadsheet development, and data processing services for several engineering firms on Long Island. I have always been driven to help people solve problems through the application of technology, while understanding the need to provide training to use software and computer applications effectively at home, at school, and in the workplace.

From 1986 to 1992, I was a field technician for several engineering firms. Due to my sharp focus, efficiency, and analytical skills, I was assigned to a valued position on my employers' "A Team", working on the most challenging and critical projects.

As computer usage in the industry increased, I began helping bridging the gap between the field and the office. I was then called upon to streamline the transfer and storage of data, while modifying its structure for usage with a office applications such as Access, Lotus 1-2-3, Excel, and dBase among others.

When the Internet went mainstream in 1992, I began my training as a web designer. By 1995 I was designing web sites for the Department of Social Sciences at Queens College, while teaching office skills and application courses for the NYS Department of Labor, the Department of Urban Studies at Queens College, and, most significantly, with the CWA 1180 Retirees Division, and several continuing education programs in New York City, Queens, and Long Island.
